‘Sisters Matsumoto’ Virtual Benefit Reading
4 years after we did our production of Philip K. Gotanda’s Sisters Matsumoto at CenterRep in Walnut Creek, CA, we reunite virtually to do a staged reading of the play to raise awareness and funds in response to the rising violence against Asian and Asian American communities. It all started inconspicuously, when one of our castmates emailed us all saying he would love to connect with us all again. This was just after the heinous attack at a South Korean owned massage parlor and we were all looking to our community to support and uplift each other. This then evolved to what we’re promoting now. A staged reading happening June 4 to raise money for Asian Law Caucus. More information on the Asian Law Caucus can be found here and the link to register to view the live reading can be found here. Donation links will be provided during the show!
